For me, art is the joy of living your potential.
Briant Rokyta is an Austrian artist based in Vienna. He follows the principle of PERMANENT CREATION in performance, drawing, painting, writing and sculpting and in providing lectures and workshops.
PERMANENT CREATION is another way of viewing the world. Not through the rational mind but through the level of being, of life, which is constantly creating itself: Each moment is creation and oneself is intimate part of it.
Permanent Creation does not mean individual works, but the flow of creation itself, which has no beginning and no end. Permanent Creation does not stop at the arts, but also comprises everything that happens. Permanent Creation does not stop.
Every moment creates itself new. The past is already graveyard, the future unknown. No matter what is happening in this moment, it has never happened before. The underlying principle is unseparated oneness, beyond duality.
What was before language and understanding? Permanent Creation.
Permanent Creation is always here, in direct experience. What is precisely here, in the outside or inside you? Permanent Creation is about feeling that rather than thinking about it. Permanent Creation is about receiving, sense the water on your skin, feel the temperature. Listen to the sounds, the feeling in your body. Check out the wind, that caresses you. This is the birthplace of the creative impulse.
You have to leave the familiar apparent security of your mind. The first steps you have to go blind. Permanent Creation is about being exactly who you are and being aware of it. Nothing needs to be changed. Change happens by itself.
Everything is constantly changing. There is no control and no security. Permanent Creation is in the heart of movement, in the middle of the conversation, in the quality of touch.
Permanent Creation is dialogue, permanent dialogue. There is no separation.
Permanent Creation is integration. Everything is part of the whole, nothing is separated. Permanent Creation is permanent integration. Human society is also changing, a new level of relatedness arises and the age of separation is sinking. I find it helpful and joyful to use art in such a way to support this process in favor of a world that is more beautiful, integrative and playful.
The best way of doing so is to show this potential of art, in various garments and as a way of life together with fellow artists.
